Opex Technologies is pleased to welcome Brian Day to the team as Senior Trusted Advisor. Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Brian brings nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and contact center space, along with a strong network of client, partner, and provider relationships built throughout his career.

Brian joins Opex after spending much of his career on the provider side of the technology industry, where he developed extensive experience working with C-level executives, presidents, and CEOs. He has also worked alongside members of the Intellys team for more than a decade, building relationships that ultimately made Opex a natural next step.

In his new role as Senior Trusted Advisor, Brian will focus on developing new opportunities and helping organizations navigate their technology needs. After years of representing individual providers, he is particularly excited about the range of solutions available through Opex and the ability to connect clients with the right resources across a much broader technology landscape.

“I’ve always worked for a provider where I could only offer what that provider sold,” Brian said. “Now I can go to my network with everything Opex can provide and find the right solution for the client. I’ve never had that kind of flexibility.”

That expanded scope aligns closely with the way Brian has approached clients throughout his career. Rather than starting with a particular product or technology, he focuses first on understanding the business challenge and the outcome a client is trying to achieve.

“Where are companies experiencing pain? Where can I help solve those challenges and provide a really positive business outcome?” Brian said. “Then we can apply the technology to that.”

For Brian, that approach is rooted in relationships. He sees his role as extending well beyond an individual project or sale, with the goal of becoming a resource clients can continue to rely on throughout their careers.

“The biggest thing to me is relationships,” Brian said. “I don’t want to sell something to somebody and then never talk to them again. I want to be a trusted consultant and continue those relationships, hopefully for the rest of my life.”

That relationship-driven mindset is also part of what drew Brian to Opex. Having known Opex team members for years, he was drawn to the company’s culture and family-oriented approach and quickly felt at home with the team.

Outside of work, Brian’s faith and family are central to his life. He and his wife recently became empty nesters after their daughter graduated from college and their son began college, and they are looking forward to traveling together in this new chapter. An avid golfer, Brian says that when he finds some free time, you’ll most likely find him on the golf course.

We’re excited to welcome Brian to Opex and look forward to the experience, relationships, and client-first perspective he brings to the team.
